Anticonvulsant - Sedative


Formula: Each 200 mg tablet contains: phenobarbital 30 mg.
Each 400 mg tablet contains: phenobarbital 60 mg.
Each 600 mg tablet contains: phenobarbital 90 mg.

Indications: Sedative and broad spectrum anticonvulsant (antiepileptic), effective for the treatment of multiple types of seizures in dogs and cats.

Dosage: As an anticonvulsant: Dogs: One 30 mg tablet every 12 kg bw. One 60 mg tablet every 24 kg bw. One 90 mg tablet every 36 kg bw. Cats: One 30 mg tablet every 15 kg bw.Interval between doses: 12 hours.These doses can be increased up to double in the following cases: Dosage loading (start of treatment) and animals that are refractory to the indicated dose (It is not recommended to modify the initial dose until 3 weeks of treatment). As a sedative: Dogs: One 30 mg tablet every 4.5 to 13.6 kg bw. One 60 mg tablet every 9.1 to 27.3 kg of bw. One 90 mg tablet every 13.6 to 40.1 kg bw. Cats: One 30 mg tablet every 4.5 to 13.6 kg bw.  Interval between doses: 12 hours or as needed.

Administration: Oral.

Presentation: Premium box containing 3 blisters with 10 tablets each one.
